First Aid and CPR Course

Designed to be a common sense approach to first aid training. Written by Paramedics, E.M.Ts, Critical Care Nurses, Emergency Department Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists, this course was developed to give students a strong knowledge and background in immediate care of an injured or ill person. Students completing this course are issued a card valid for a period of two years for both first aid and CPR. This is a six (6) to eight (8) hour course covering all the basics of first aid and CPR with a common sense approach.

6-8 Hour Course

 

    First Aid and CPR Renewal

    Same high quality common sense approach as our First Aid & CPR Training Course above but at a quicker pace for students who have a valid or recently expired FACT card. Students completing this course are issued a card valid for a period of two years for both first aid and CPR.

    4 Hour Course

     

    American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course

    Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare professionals. Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card.

    3 Hour Course

     

    A.E.D. (Automatic External Defibrillator) Training

    The Heartsaver AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED. Students also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and choking.

    2 Hour Course

     

     Bloodborne Pathogen Training

    A must for childcare providers, healthcare workers, first aid providers or anybody who comes in contact with body fluids. Teaches how to evaluate hazards of exposure, treatment precautions, and clean-up.
